In Memoriam of Kristie Ann Gonzalez
Scholarship Award, Spring 2024
Purpose:
To encourage a senior in the SWISD to continue their education at a college or university of their choice.
Applicant Must Submit the Following:
1. A 500 word, typed essay discussing the topic below: Place student ID on the top right of each page
***What were the best words of wisdom or advice that you have ever received from a parent, teacher or coach? Explain what the words mean to you and how you can live by them.******
2. Two Coach or Teacher Attestation (based on which category you are applying for)
Athletic Applicant Requirements:
• Male or Female student athlete (Two consecutive years on a UIL team at SWISD HS)
• Must be a graduating SWISD HS Senior in 2024
• Overall 2.5 GPA or higher
• At least 90% attendance rate in school (Excused absences not included)
• Resides in the SWISD
• Submit designated 500 word, typed essay
• Two Teacher/Coach Attestation Forms
• Submit forms to Senior School Counselor; Luis Gonzalez
Applicant Must Submit the Following:

***What do you hope for in the future? Where would you like to be in twenty years? How would you navigate to get there?
2. Two Teacher Attestation Forms
Academic Applicant Requirements:
• Must be a graduating SWISD HS Senior in 2024
• Overall 3.0 GPA or higher
• Atleast 90% attendance rate in school (Excused absences not included)
• Resides in the SWISD
• Performed 10 hours of Community Service
• Submit designated 500 word, typed essay
• Submit Two Teacher/Teacher Attestation Forms
• Submit forms to Senior School Counselor; Luis Gonzalez
TWO TEACHER/COACH ATTESTATION FORMS (DOWNLOAD AND PRINT)
DEADLINE SUBMISSION: April 25, 2024 ( No Exceptions)
– Recipients of the Athletic Scholarship Award will be notified: May 6, 2024
– Recipients of the Academic Scholarship Award will be notified: May 13, 2024
